Decker Update

Dear friends,

Thank you for your continuing prayers for our family! This is a very quick update for you, with a few more matters for prayer.

**Dave's trip to Thailand went very well. He returned home Friday evening, and felt happy with all that had been discussed together with the other SIM treasurers.

**Our missionaries based in Guinea have left Guinea, and arrived here in Dakar on Friday as well. (They ended up on the same flight with Dave on the last leg of his trip, which was from Bamako, Mali to Dakar!)

**Please pray for the Guinea missionaries as they rest and process all that has happened. Pray for wisdom and discernment of God's best plan for them. Pray for comfort and peace for them, especially the children who felt very stressed by the situation in Guinea.

**In addition to the SIM missionaries, missionaries from many other organizations have evacuated to Dakar. During this week, I'll be involved as part of a member-care team providing group and individual debriefings to these missionaries. At this time we have five separate group debriefings scheduled, and times for those who would like to spend individual time processing their experiences as well. Please pray for understanding and compassionate hearts, as we seek to listen well and understand all that these missionaries have experienced. Pray that they will be able to sense God's healing and restoring work in their hearts.

** This morning I'll be traveling to a city about 2 hours from home to spend two days as part of a team debriefing one of the larger organizations of Guinea missionaries. Pray for safety in travel, and for Dave and Jacob at home "just the guys."

We are thankful in knowing that God is working in the country of Guinea and in the lives of each of those who have come from there, and trust Him to work in each of us during this time. And we are thankful for your continued support in prayer as we support and encourage these colleagues.

In His love,
Mary
